The Faculty of Andalusian Studies is a department of the Fundación Cultural Azagra, which is located at the Alqueria de Rosales, situated in the Andalucian region of Southern Spain near the town of Puebla de Don Fadrique in the Province of Granada. It was founded by the Romero family, Spanish converts to Islam who are native to the area and the centre continues to be run and directed by the Romero family. Our institute is a privately run centre that is not linked to nor has any relation to any particular organisation or ideology. The Faculty of Andalusian Studies was opened in 2002 for the purpose of establishing a centre of excellence for the teaching of the Arabic Language and as a research centre for the study of Muslim Culture and Andalusian history. Establishing the centre has involved an enormous effort and is an ongoing project incorporating a concept of enriching and active communal interaction of different cultures, resulting in a universal state of peace and harmony. You can come to the center to attend any of our Islamic and Arabic Courses or other activities that are offered here. The Alqueria is also open for those who wish to have a holiday in a calm and tranquil atmosphere in an area of outstanding natural beauty . The Centre is open to everyone regardless of faith.
